Day 1. Arrive in Vientiane (D)

Warmly welcome on arrive in Vientiane airport. Although it is a capital city, Vientiane has the feel of a small provincial town. The wide boulevards are almost devoid of traffic and with its many temples; the city retains the feel of another age. Your tour includes visits to the major temples of Vat Sisaket, Vat Phrakeo and the impressive That Luang Stupa, the country's most important monument. We will also see the Arch of Triumph, the National Museum and shop at the Morning market. Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Vientiane.

Day 2. Vientiane - Luang Prabang (B/L)

In the morning you take flight from Vientiane to Luang Prabang. Arrival Luang Prabang, transfer to our hotel. Visit Wat Xieng Thong, the most beautiful temple, we then take the traditional boat trip upstream on the Mekong River to visit the famous caves of Pak-Ou, located at the side of the steep cliff on the bank of the Mekong River housing hundreds of Buddha statues. En route you visit local rice-wine distillery and Ban Phanom weaving village. You then proceed to Wat Phousy on the top of the hill overlooking the Mekong River. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 3. Luang Phrabang (B/L)

An optional early start gives you the fantastic opportunity to participate in the daily morning rituals of saffron-clad monks collecting offerings of Alms (often in the form of sticky rice) from the faithful residents. This tradition is very unique in Laos, being the only Buddhist nation still preserving the ritual.
After breakfast visit morning market, National museum (the former king's palace), and climb up the Phousi hill for overlooking the city. The rest of the day is free at leisure or take a trip of an elepand ride in the forest. Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 4. Departure (B)
There is no activity planned for today. Enjoy your free time for souvernir shopping until transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
